London, England.

Just getting off the Chunnel (Eurostar train) from Belgium to England.

Tea and sweets in beautiful surroundings...

ok, so it was really coffee.

Beautiful view while enjoying a lovely walk in the suburbs of the city.

Middle Eastern dinner out.

We ordered a variety of dishes and appetizers that were enjoyed by all.

Black top cabs.

A little coffee after breakfast and checking messages before hitting the city for the day.

Here we come, London!

Many rides on the tube to get around. "Mind the gap!"

A great sandwich shop. Fresh and delicious. Love the European fast food opportunities.

Darren and his friend, Annie Yim who performed Schuman for us in her own house in the Sloane Square area. She is defending her PHD this month. All the best, Annie!

Space efficiency everywhere.

Not sure these red phone booths are used but they are everywhere.

Did some shopping for Leah here. Cute "Cath Kidston" purchases made, including two little sandwich boxes for JK in September.

Got the street picture, a little bear and the movie for #TeamDuChene

Delicious Dim Sum in London.

Didn't get the fish n' chips while in London but did have a burger n' chips.

London Eye in the background.

Always lots to see. Union Jack.

Big Ben.

London Marathon homestretch. Would love to run that someday.

Her Majesty's neighbours.

Gorgeous parks.

Buckingham Palace.

Where shall the Tube take us?

Fun shopping for the kids at the M&M store.

I think she is smiling here.

Love the buildings.

Canada.

Entertainment in Covent Garden Market.

Beautiful meal to end another wonderful European experience: burger, fries and .... a peanut butter chocolate milkshake.

oh... and chocolate fudge cake! It was absolutely wonderful, every single bit.

Starting to get dark out. Very pretty to see the city light up.

Darren and Krista so pleased with their races and nearing the end of their trip, just outside the Canadian Embassy.

I held my breath during this photo.

Brazil 2016!

China town.

Getting back on the tube. Check out the height. I could hardly look down.

FaceTime with the kids and dog!

Brussels, Belgium.

Love the local markets with fresh produce.

First indulgence in Belgium. It was absolutely wonderful. Oh, that chocolate.

Grand Place in Brussels.

Simply the smell of the chocolate while walking around was mouth-watering.

Horse & Carriage ride for some.

Mannekin Pis. There are many legends to explain this work of art. The story told to me was of a boy who urinated on a burning fuse, which saved the city as it was under siege with explosives placed around the city walls.

You will see many Mannekin Pis statues in this area.

Cobblestone and beautiful architecture.

Chocolate and beer in Belgium.

Oh, the varieties of waffles!

A lot of gold decor in Brussels.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at a Belgian Restaurant fairly close to our hotel, which was directly across the train station.

Having a successful race after waiting 9 months while marathon training to fully indulge in desserts is certainly worth it. Especially in Europe!

Inside the restaurant.

Another delicious breakfast. This one was in Brussels before heading to London, England.

The "Chunnel" or Eurostar.

Great job in your Fukuoka qualifying marathon, Darren. Coach Rick is proud of us. Thanks for being a great tour guide!
