Meeting Leah

Cute kids, if I say so myself!

Leah has now met most of her family. Lots of love (and cute gifts)!

Thanks, folks!

Happy 3rd, Seth!

Raise your hand...who wants another cupcake? Me! Me!

Seth wanted chocolate cupcakes with green icing. On each one, I put a "S" or ""3" and two jelly beans. The kids (and grown ups!) loved it!

Happy birthday to Avery too! We've really enjoyed having her around on snow days!

Spring ... love it

I'll tell you something...I just love having babies in the late winter. After the first few weeks inside, you are more than ready to get outside. It is so nice to have great weather. Thanks to Saucony for the new running gear and Chariot for the infant sling.

Loving Leah in March

Happy Birthday, Jonathan! After a fun time visiting family, we made it home in time to celebrate.

What a cutie - Leah all pretty in her cousin's hand-me-down dress to go to her first wedding (at age 7 days)!

What's in a Name?

Leah Maelle DuChene.
Where did we get the middle name, "Maelle"?
Well, we've always liked the names Mae and Ella (Micah was going to be Ella Mae Marie if a girl). Then, we heard and liked the name Maelle when Maelle Ricker won the Gold Medal in the snowboard cross event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a gold medal at home in the Olympics. She pronounces it "My-elle" but we say "Mae-elle".
"Leah" goes with our other biblical names, Seth and Micah.
