(for update on Krista's comeback/running, click here)
Jonathan and I continue to be busy with work, training and commitments at our Brant Community Church. We are nearing the end of the young-kids-at-home stage and approaching the busy extra-curricular taxi years. So blessed though.
Krista and Leah with McKayla and Tarah Korir at the September Harvest Half to raise funds for the Kenyan Kids Foundation. I spoke at the sold-out pasta dinner and we donated our Chariot double running stroller for auction, which contributed to $10,000 raised that weekend! Kinda sad to be through this stage of life but happy to see a young running couple purchase it to use with their little one. |
Seth, gr 1 was instructed to draw a picture of someone helping another. This is Coach Rick helping Krista. So sweet. |
Like her mom - sporty and pink-loving! |
Seth has started taking piano lessons at school. He loves it! He will resume swimming lessons in early October. |
Micah, gr 3 is back it again. Hockey 4x/wk is good for this energetic boy. He's also doing x country running with Coach Krista DuChene helping the team! Both Jonathan and Krista were born in '77. |
Last year at home before school. Going to cherish every day. Krista will take her to the skate at the Gretzky, Tuesdays and Thursdays. |
Train ride to grandma and grandpa's, Labour Day weekend. Jonathan joined us after work. |
Hockey. Team DuChene. |
What a great summer. Loved every bit of it. |
A little treat out at the Brown Dog. |
Another work of art from Seth. He knows how Bethany Hamilton's comeback (surfer who lost her arm to a shark) inspired me so he drew a picture. |
