New Addition

Well, here it is. A van. Wow!
While waiting for jr to arrive, we thought we'd go shopping.
So as of next week, we will be official van owners (and hopefully making an announcement about another new addition)!
Workman and Cylka Families, do you like it?! We can call our 3 identical vans the triplets!

While Jonathan was in Toronto for work this week, Auntie Joyce came to stay with Micah and I to keep us company and watch Micah if baby arrived. We really enjoyed having her around.


Thank you, Aunt Joyce, for spending time with us, helping around the house (the blinds look great!), and driving us around town for errands and appointments.

Happy Birthday to you, Jonathan!

When Micah is up early, we get a lot done. In fact, before church, we had pancakes, corn casserole (a DuChene favourite), and birthday cake made.

Adding the final touches to the birthday cake. We went with a green theme for St. Patrick's Day.

I guess jr. won't share his/her birthday with daddy after all. Maybe he/she will be an Easter baby.

Grammy and Grampa in March

Micah really enjoyed having grammy and grampa around. They did SO much in the basement - all the painting! We were hoping jr would arrive a week early because they were already here. Only a week to go until due date. Maybe he/she will arrive on Jonathan's birthday (Mar 16)?!

Basement Renos

Here are a few updated photos of the basement.



Jonathan has been doing a great job. He is now mudding and sanding.
We look forward to the new fireplace and spare room/office.



This area will be the kids' play space (and shelf to hold my laptop and coffee!). Jonathan plans to make a built-in storage bench.



Now for the fun stuff - here's the loveseat that is to be delivered next week with the couch, chair and ottoman.



And thanks to our friend, Natalie, we now have some accessories for the room! She and David have a great help along the way.
Jonathan's parents plan to come Monday to help start painting. If jr decides to make his/her appearance, we already have grammy and grampa here to watch Micah!
