Nov and Dec 2010

The boys did an amazing job on the Christmas tree.
Krista enjoyed playing her first game of hockey in several years (6?). It was a bit challenging to find my balance but certainly a lot of fun!

Maybe we'll see some pink in February?!

Pictures: reading w/ Grammy and Grampa, first night w/ the new bunk-bed, Krista at 6 mos pregnant, and Seth-the-knight.

Pictures: fort-building, youtube videos of Stompin' Tom Connor's "The Good Old Hockey Game", and trying on mom's special Saucony shoes.

Theresa

Some of you may remember that Krista ran the National Marathon Championships in Ottawa for Theresa. About 1:25 into this interview she talks about it.
Sadly, her life on earth ended Oct 21, 2010. We will miss her dearly but know she's been welcomed into Heaven!

No more diapers (well, until February)!

Seth only had more more "babyish" thing left in his life of 2.5 yrs. Diapers. I've never believed in rushing the whole potty training thing so when I tried a few times to put him in underwear and it didn't work, back to diapers we went. It's been ages since he used a soother, and he's been in a big bed (w/ Micah) and without use of a booster at the table for a while now. At the end of September, I was talking to him about the new baby, discussing things you do (nursing, rocking, diaper-changing) and he put it all together. As he often says, "I NOT a baby". So, into underwear he went and out of the kids' bag came the diapers (he went to the closet, opened the bag and took them all out!). He's done so well and has been dry the last 3 nights. We still have accidents but believe we've made our last purchase of diapers ... until February!

Enjoying the Good Times.

1. There are (many) times when our 2.5 yr old gets out of bed. He didn't get too far this time...before he crashed.

2. Moses is so good with the kids. Here he watches the action.

3.
Seth built his own train and Micah joined him for some fun.

4. Yes, we are looking for bunkbeds!

Fall 2010

Micah and Seth just looove going through boxes filled with Eload or Saucony goods!

Posing on the front porch in front of 5 pumpkins (one for each family member). Here they are in 2008.

Micah enjoyed his first class trip, which included his first school bus ride, to Brantwood Farms.

Growing Boys and a Growing Mommy - September 2010

Our growing family:
1. Seth (almost 2.5 yrs). He's always loved building towers with blocks.
2. Micah (4.5 yrs). Ready for his first day of school.
3. Krista (17 weeks pregnant). Will this one be a girl? Sorry, we'll ALL be waiting until February for that answer!

Seth sings his ABC's. Adorable.

Marathon Mom ... 3rd Baby on the Way!

Maternity T-Shirt

Check out this shirt (and many other great items) at my sister's CafePress online store. This will be a great addition to my MATERNITY clothes! Yes, we are expecting our 3rd baby and are thrilled. Baby is due to arrive in February. Another blessing! Wow!

Backyard Pirate Ship/Fort

Because we aren't yet sure how we will build the retaining wall to finish the patio project, Jonathan was able to get back to the pirate ship. We made some look-out portholes. The two on the right are exactly the height of Seth and Micah.

Here's the view from the top.

The slide is already very popular.

Entering from the back.

View from the kitchen window.

Great job, Jonathan!
