Once again, we had a wonderful week at Maple Grove Family Camp. My sister did an amazing job as director for the week. This week goes by soooo fast every year. I'll have to get some pictures and post them. I did get one picture, the day after we got home...we had a quiet day as it was very hot and I had to do a lot of unpacking and laundry. You can see the picture of the kids on the floor, which I had just cleaned right before Leah spilled a 1/2 empty box of waffle cone pieces. So, you guessed it...I let the kids eat it! Oh dear!
We are seasons' pass holders for African Lion Safari again. It is such a wonderful place. We have so much fun at the splash pad, safari, shows, and play equipment.

A little fun

Canadian Running Magazine is publishing  an article on me that will be in the Sept/Oct issue, which hits newsstands the last week of August. They needed some pictures so we did a little photo shoot at the North Park Highschool track (where Kevin Sullivan attended) next to the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre where I train (and the kids are cared for by two amazing ladies). The location of the gym (which also has a pool and 200 m indoor track) and track is very convenient as it's 1 km from home and next to the kids' school and my massage therapy clinic. Rick's niece, Sue did a great job as photographer. Thanks, Sue and Rick!

I must say that since our appeal was denied (story from Brantford Expositor and Brant News), I've received a lot of heart-felt messages. Thank you, everyone. Of note, was one from my cousin.

I've made my decision about my next race and will write about it soon. I'm quite excited!

 

 

Joyful June

June has been full of joy so far. 

The kids have enjoyed biking.

Micah graduated from SK. His character trait was meekness, "Patience without anger".

We had a lovely bridal shower at Jonathan's mom's for his cousin. It was great to celebrate the upcoming marriage and see the gang. Leah looked so cute in her dress from Auntie Michelle.

Great Family Trip to Ottawa

What a great trip to Ottawa! Racing 2 km (boys) and 10 km (Krista), eating great food and enjoying great family time (Amy, Joy, Shirley and Hugh), swimming, hotel....couldn't have been better!

Leah ... growing up fast!

Leah is really growing up, quickly!
She just loves shoes and is starting to say more words. She is a sweet, affectionate, happy sweetheart and we all love her to bits.

A bit behind

Life has certainly been busy this spring so naturally I'm a bit behind in the blogging. They say a picture is worth 1000 words so I added several! Here's what we've been up to: preparing to move, renovating the new house, Krista going away for a week to run a marathon in Rotterdam (Netherlands) for a shot at the Olympic standard, moving, Jonathan going away for a week of work, Leah walking, the boys finishing hockey and starting soccer, and a busy but fun Mother's Day weekend with family and friends. We don't have much planned for the long weekend...and that is ok!
